If only researchers would take some time to find an alternative to polyethylene glycol (PEG) in LNPs to deliver monoclonal antibodies! PEG is grandfathered in as a generally-recognized-as-safe substance, but its use as an injectable drug formulated to be vacuolized into internal cells is totally new. Evidence of widespread nonallergic hypersensitivity reactions to PEG and its cousin, polysorbate, is being studiously ignored.
