Remember the Maine! What are some of the lies the U.S. has fabricated in order to justify its wars?

The USS Maine – and Cuba

In February 1898, a United States battleship, the USS Maine, exploded in the then Spanish-controlled Havana Harbor, now liberated and under the control of our Cuban comrades. The explosion, publicized with fervor by media mogul William Randolph Hearst and his bellicose cronies, was then casus belli for the United States to go to war with the Spanish Empire.

To this hour the Tin Drum sounds louder and louder as the states drummers beat time.

The problem is when false flags are enacted on our compatriots so we can dominate and subvert their individual rights and deny them free will.

Dr. Jack: A damning compilation. Lots of quotable quotes....

It occurs to me that a seemingly benign version of this exists within the sciences. To the greatest degree possible, we are theory-driven and model-driven. As Einstein said, "It is the theory that tells us what we may believe." And as the body of knowledge gets fleshed out, one is ever less likely to think it possible that a radical new departure lies in store. The more extensive the body of knowledge, the more rigid and unshakeable is our attachment to it. The end result is the consensus science that we have now. It is no easier now to introduce novelty into the discourse than it was in the days of Galileo.
