Great plan. Any chance there could be a place for the patient voice in this publication? A column where we can share about what's working for us, what's not, and what we are hoping for from the new administration and from our healthcare providers? A place to share our needs and goals, not a gripe column but a constructive way to have a voice in the overall conversation. A place where we never talk about the 'problems' without also talking about the potential solutions. You can help to build bridges between patients, doctors and health policy leaders. We are all on the same team, reaching for the same goals of wellness, unity and peace. I know a lot of people in the patient community who are frustrated hearing from the same small group of doctors telling us what the score is when there is no place for us to weigh in on things from our side. It is hard for patients with chronic illness to listen to people who don't experience chronic illness tell us how our lives are and what they think we need to do about it without them taking the time to hear of our own hard-earned, real-world opinions first. I am not trying to be difficult here, Jack. I love the whole idea, I just want some representation for the patients. Nobody can really know how we feel if we are not given an opportunity to share our experiences, struggles, priorities, goals and successes; and to share them in a common arena with doctors and health agency leaders. With peace.

I just assumed that patients could submit articles--as they often do when sharing experiences of adverse events, problems with hospital care, etc. I totally support Diane's suggestion.
