I just assumed that patients could submit articles--as they often do when sharing experiences of adverse events, problems with hospital care, etc. I totally support Diane's suggestion.

What safeguards are in place to prevent it from getting or becoming corrupted or biased somewhere down the line?

How about tracking cured cases? That would be a revolution. It would require acknowledgement of three facts:

1. Most cases of illnesses are trivial, easily cured.

2. Cured is not medically defined for most diseases, not even for most cases of infectious disease.

3. Every case of "cured" is a single case, a story, an anecdote.
