I loved the book Sapiens, except for the last chapter where he started talking about transhumanism in the future. I glanced at the sequel and was even more appalled. So sad.

I mentioned two books. Not sure if you're talking about one, or both. At any rate, I agree with you about the transhumanism stuff.

I thought sapiens was awful because he just assumes so much - much like Pinker his books are just opinion. There’s no facts or science behind any of it. I despise his assumed authority on our human history, it’s not accurate and it’s entirely subjective. This “I know everything” tone I find vomit inducing.

First I Ioved it too and some insights are still valuable for me (humans evolved as story telling creatures). But the book "The dawn of everything" by David Graeber and David Wengrow was a revelation for me! It gave me back hope, that we humans are able to turn a round the wheel completely how our society is working and where it is heading to.

Nazis will be Nazis. Don’t expect them to change! To turn the tide against them requires all of us to notice those that deny you ( little Nazis) and separate yourself from them. If it’s their space, you leave. If it’s yours, stop in inviting them in and kick them out. If you start with the little tyrants in front of you the energies will change as you take back the power you gave away.

Harari? Gay, vegan, and my guess is that he is terrified of vaginas, but no worries. I'm sure he can't help much of that, but he should stop trying to exorcize his angst by dumping on others.

His pencil neck is conspicuous, and inviting.
