You might want to create a private membership site, where users need to log in to access material, or do you have that already? For live calls, you can place the encoded access link to Zoom or whatever behind the paywall so that the link can't be shared. You can then download the video, upload it to Wistia or other private hosting and then use the embed code to place the replay into your private membership site. I don't know if we can PM each other here in Substack, but if so, please PM me. I can walk you through what I've done.
You also want to keep backups of your material air-gapped and offline.
Why have a private site though? The public should be able to see everything. Information needs to be free and open and we have to practice that if we want a different world to this Orwellian one.
Those of us who research, collect, and synthesize information, have to feed and house ourselves somehow. The more time we have to work at a Just Over Broke (JOB) or peddling products, the less time and energy we have to be creative. CNN, Fox, NBC, etc, they're all "free". Bon Appétit.
Well you'd better think smarter because the rug is going to be pulled right out from under you, then what will you do? I guess you'll have lots of time to figure it out then. Why not build a safety net now so they can take it all down and you'll be set. If you care enough to think about others and they about you. We ought to be mobilizing ourselves now to build our strengths for when they do take everything away. Oh they will have a carrot or two to dangle before you but it will always be a hard pill to swallow. We need to get off their systems NOW.
All my content is for free...but I may have to stop and go get a job to pay the bills, which means no more free content!
Some wonderful people donate, but it's not enough.
Putting some content behind a paywall adds to its value, helps to pay the bills, and keeps it away from the bots...
clearly I was wrong on that point if I am understanding Dr Jack. Is he saying here that vimeo pulled his entire account, with videos behind a pay wall? He didn't actually spell out just "censorship" and having to go to a new platform.
Chelsea Clinton is on Vimeo board, which makes me very suspicious of that platform.
Must go and create some more free content!
[EDIT: I came across this substack in my email, before the original....now I understand what James is talking about - all videos not inaccessible!]
Y'know, James, today's censorship reminds me of the seventies.
Back then, the reach of all sorts of information was restricted when the big publishers refused to print materials they disagreed with. At the time, it was mostly the leftist articles being suppressed and restricted, but not always. The S&L scandal, for instance, was there for anyone to report on, but no one would touch it until the story broke in a small newspaper of limited circulation.
Such video as was available was only shown in small theaters catering to art films and other "alternative" tastes.
Now, the shoe is on the other foot, with radical extremism being amplified by mainstream outlets and moderate, well-balanced viewpoints being restricted to "fringe" venues.
Censors are the biggest scumbags on the face of the earth. I don't understand the reasoning - why does anyone censor? Are some things too delicate for some adults to hear, but not for others? But it's ok to have drag shows to kindergarteners and violence in movies non-stop? It's a good idea to go to platforms that uphold free speech - free speech is our birthright.
Consider BitChute and Rumble? No need to put all your eggs in one basket.
May I recommend Kajabi?
What do you like about Odysee? Not arguing. Seeking information.

Just FYI, Jitsi is a good alternative to zoom, aside from the name.
Good to know, thx!

Totally agree.
If people value the content they'll pay a little.

Nothing new under the sun.

Will we learn about how Fake Viruses cause disease?
Exciting!
Well done! Odysee is wonderful. Linux is too. Apple and Windows belong to Big Brother.
I watch it every day.
No censorship so far and subscriber payment opportunity.
