I think I understand where you are coming from. It is conflicting.

But what has been done, is done, and the wreckage is likely unstoppable. Not just those who will directly be injured, disfigured, disabled, but also the whole of civilization. Suppose that the 70% eventually drop over the cliff's edge and you remain. What next?

Do we take the view that we are superior? Such a sentiment seems uncomfortably close to that of the cabal who set the wheels in motion.

Meanwhile, out of necessity, scarcity will probably lead to great innovations amongst the freedom loving survivors.

The cabal will have less and less but will always seek more and more. They will complicate the survival of the freedom-lovers.

How that plays out will be a continuation of what has already been endured. Hard lessons learned. Horribly hard lessons.

Agreed. The scarcity is not the boon they might have expected it to be. And they will not be as insulated as they planned.
