Interaction among multiple selective factors and evolution at multiple levels assures unpredictability. One thing is certain: the simple expectation of disease eradication was never possible.
I'm starting to cringe any time I see a Stack from this handle. The doom and gloom every time I open my email is becoming exhausting. So, at this point, if The Machine ™ continues to chase variants with more jib-jabs, what Gert Van Den Bosche warned three years ago, will happen. Pathogenic primming no matter what is inevitable via infection or vaccination.
Brilliant, comprehensive, spot on. And to think the CDC had the audacity to publicly deny that the Covid modified mRNA shots could have any impact in terms of exerting selective immune pressure and accelerating the generation of viral escape mutants.
Do all these same criticisms apply to the endemic phase of respiratory viruses? This just seems like more reasons to conclude that mass vaccination is an inherently mad approach to all transmissible infectious disease.
Certainly respiratory viruses that are inherently unstable. I don’t think you can extrapolate to non mutating viruses. Though it’s likely also true for those also, just for different reasons, not least the use of adjuvants.
There seems to be something unique about the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein's molecular homology to immune system proteins, but in other data we are seeing there is one in particular that may be being targeted by many viruses as a means to get a toe in the door. I'm trying to publish it, but the journals I would and should publish it in do not care much for me (I'm too forthright with reality-based evidence on other matters, I guess).
