Suffering a Massive Loss of Post-COVID Credibility, Fauci Admits He is "Baffled". At This Point, He's His Own Worst Enemy. Keep Talking, Fauci.

Reputations matter. Whose reputation is gone? Whose is intact? Why is Fauci still around? I hope he continues to talk with the media and provide more evidence of his incompetence.

Social media narrative minders have blocked posts, shuttered massive accounts, and now terms like “The Legacy Media” have social impact whereas before they were notions in the heads of those producing “The New Media”.

The powergrab and overreach by “public health” has been stopped by those who understand the relationship between freedom of speech and human rights. We now see Legacy Media Outlets (LMOs) publishing articles on the health effects of Vitamin D, and desperate and pathetic attempts of LMOs and public health agencies to regain their lost luster.

There have been casualties among the well-meaning: The echoes of bombs of the politicization of medical vs. public health approaches to COVID-19 now reverberate throughout the rest of the fabric of society. We have regained much of our perspective; the “far-left” is starting to become recognizable as such; those who would attempt to stain moderates and even liberals as “far-right” in a misguided attempt to discredit them as “racist”, “anti-trans”, “white supremacists” and “terrorists” consistently fail to see how this shallow understanding of how far and deep vaccine risk awareness, respect for personal medical choice, and the desire for real trust between individual patients and individual doctors cuts across all political and cultural silos. Half of the US can’t be “terrorists”.

I announced that the vaccine program had failed in Harrisburg, PA in the summer of 2021. The writing was on the wall. The key data point was the Barnstable, Massachusetts CDC report that had a -26% efficacy in people with two vaccines. I knew then that the disinformation campaign from the CDC would fail; that the genie was out of the bottle. But I already knew this was where we were headed. I knew it when I had determined that Moderna, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson’s attempts to inflate the efficacy of their vaccines by leaving people out who developed COVID before the second dose was fraudulent. Even as the warnings about launching a leaky population-wide vaccine at the height of an epidemic or pandemic from people like Geert vanden Bossche spread like wildfire, people could not possibly grasp how right they were: The vanden Bossche effect of the vaccine driving vaccine-resistant variants was made all the worse due to the fact that the highest efficacy reported in early clinical trials was not 95%, but was instead 75%. Had this fact been made more well known by the LMO’s when I published it, a more intelligent multi-modal approach to COVID would have been called for in early 2021 rather than now - and it is only now that even public health is coming to terms with the reality of multi-modality as the only plausible, logical response.

Those who were smart enough to leave public health right after the Barnstable study saw the writing on the wall, too. Anne Schuchat, a long-time defender of vaccines against public awareness of serious side effects, left CDC. There’s a story to tell about that departure involving differences of opinion between CDC Director Rochelle Walensky and Schucat that will probably never see the light of day because Schuchat’s complaint was almost certainly that Walensky’s announcement that the vaccinated must still mask must have been seen by Schuchat and her ilk as Walensky giving away the shop.

Meanwhile, master vaccine risk and injury denialist-in-Chief Anthony Fauci admits that he is “baffled” as to why one-half of Americans who are “eligible” for a third booster have not signed up for the shot.

Let’s analyze what we see here, in the transcript of the video:

LMO: “All new this morning nearly half of Americans who are eligible for a COVID-19 booster shot have not gotten it yet. Those are the latest numbers from the CDC and Dr. Anthony Fauci says he's baffled by the new data.”

Fauci: “Why were people who had enough uh understanding of the risk to go ahead and get the primary series why we don't have more get the booster I don't have a (sic) easy explanation for that.”

LMO: “The CDC’s Chief Dr. Rochelle Walensky says 54 percent of people who are in the hospital for COVID over the age of 65 are unvaccinated that's despite data showing just 12 percent of Americans in that age group are unvaccinated.”

(LMO Continues): “And we know those vaccines are a big help in the fight against COVID. Right now we are watching new cases in Georgia drop. We're averaging about 10,000 fewer new cases per day. That's about four times higher than what we were seeing right as omicron was first reported in Georgia hospitalizations on the decline as well there are about 4, 300 COVID patients receiving treatment right now that's about 26 percent of all patients across the state.”

So… hospitalizations drop following the rise in Omicron, which we know is less lethal, but the vaccine gets the credit? What about natural immunity, which CDC has finally admitted exists?

Why I’m Not “Baffled”

Perhaps the public remembers the false promise of 95% efficacy, and they have lost trust in public health and the US regulatory agencies, including the FDA, which allowed the falsehood of 95% efficacy to stand.

Perhaps the public expected, due to be vaccine being oversold, that 95-100% of the people hospitalized and dying from COVID-19 would be unvaccinated. The numbers cited by the LMO translate into a serious problem given the false promise of 95% efficacy.

According to the data cited, which is only among patients over 65, 54% hospitalized are “unvaccinated”, meaning 46% are vaccinated. According to the LMO report, only 12% of people in Georgia in >65 age group are “unvaccinated”, meaning 88% are vaccinated.

However, according to CDC’s definition of “Fully Vaccinated”, this excludes people who received only one dose.

So the 88% includes the missing people who got COVID-19 after the first shot, those who died after the first shot (all causes), and those who had such a serious reaction that they dare not take the second shot.

Other data sources draw the LMO’s percentages into question.

According to USAFacts.org, for people in Georgia,

76.68% of people in the 65 to 74 years age group have had at least one dose.

84.08% of people in the 75 to 84 years age group have had at least one dose.

85.21% people aged 85 and older have had at least one dose.

There is no way to make these values add up to 88% for everyone over 65 years of age.

Which data the LMO was citing was unclear as no reference other than CDC’s
“Rochelle Walensky”.

According to USAFacts.org and NYTimes’ COVID-19 vaccine tracker as of 2/6/2022, for Georgia (all age groups), 64% have only one dose, while only 53% have had two doses.

The comments on the Youtube video of The Baffled Fauci are telling:

“It's not complicated. First, people are seeing that breakthrough cases are now quite common. And second, even people positively receptive to being vaccinated aren't keen about getting a jab every 4-6 months in what increasingly seems like an endless cycle with no end in sight.”

“He's baffled? How? The lies came out of his mouth. Is he baffled that we caught on?”

“He is baffled people aren't going for 3 after the two that were supposed to be sufficient failed. I am shocked that he is shocked lol”

“Data (have) always baffled Fauci”

“Of course he's confused, he's told so many lies he can't keep his story straight.”

“Can't watch this guy without thinking about the old Mad magazines”

Perhaps the confusing and mercurial definition of “Vaccinated”, the apparently arbitrary use of percentages that appear to fit the narrative add to the public’s mistrust of public health.

Perhaps the reliance on appeals to lost authority (citing Walensky) explains the mistrust.

Perhaps the public expects the person in charge of public health to understand that vaccine risk and injury denialism feeds what they call “vaccine hesitancy”, and what I call “vaccine risk awareness”.

And perhaps the public can see and realize that the report only mentions data for those over the age of 65, clearly yet another example of cherry-picking data that appears to fit a narrative: this time, an age group (over 65) even while CDC expands “eligibility” of boosters to include 12-17 year olds.

The public was never as stupid as Fauci presumed. The best thing that can happen from this point forward is Fauci should continue to speak with the media. He’s his own worst enemy. Perhaps he’ll go on Joe Rogan and keep putting feet in this mouth.

Keeping the public informed has been a call to duty, and I am glad to have done my small part.
