Paul Offit is a disgusting sell out, horrible human , who sold his soul for money at the expense of our children’s health.

Absolute lier and deceiver.

WHY IS ANYONE LISTENING TO HIM STILL!!!! HE NEEDS TO GO!!!

I hate Paul Offit and appreciate RFK Jr. That said, I clicked through to that CDC document and having trouble figuring out where it shows that the vaccine protection wanes in about ten years and that booster protection wanes in about a year. Can someone help decipher that document?

Loved this article - it made me laugh and think. The debunk was too easy. “Offit has a problem understanding temporal causality” 😂 My grandchildren understand temporal causality very well - “But, Amo, I wasn’t even there!!!” On a more serious note... the short term benefits of measles vaccinations versus long term harms to overall community immunity, all while antibiotics lose their potency, is a real crisis people need to understand. Does this “penny wise, pound foolish” thinking in science/medicine have a scientific term or phrase? “Vaccine-wise, immunity foolish” is a real problem! Worse than ever since COVID vaccines.

It doesn't take Sherlock to deduct, when Big Pharma's commit fruad, people die! Googling, "Big Pharma's big fines" should tell a non brainwashed person why pharma "medicine" IS a/ the leading cause of death in the USA! i.e. killing more people then ALL the wars USA has ever been in! Documented in the book Death by Medicine! & The John Hopkins low-ball] iatrogenic study! But with good P.R. and billion to by advertising, politicians & so-called "doctors"/ pharma pimps! That, "Wages of sin death" is our only reward! God help us MAGA!

I want to read that book. Death by Medicine. Is it by Gary Null? What about "The John Hopkins low-ball iatrogenic study"? I have a psychologist friend who's oh so proud that he works with John Hopkins and calls them "the consensus medical authorities"--as opposed to the conspiracy theory misinformation spreading anti-vaxxer 12 doctors that are spreading lies and causing deaths by increasing vaccine hesitancy. I want to be armed with the TRUTH as my sword and shield. (Sorry for the rant. It gets so frustrating to be blamed for every single death)

It's been changed now you must Google; "According to a recent study by Johns Hopkins, more than 250,000 people in the United States die every year because of medical mistakes, " (That turns out to be "only" 684.9 deaths each & every day, in & day out! Death by Medicine documents 800,000 or 2191.78 each day AND that's not counting their patented/ gain of function SARS & SARS 2 Co-V 19 money maker! Not knowing that many people. I've only lost my Dad, Wife & best friend to iatrogenic "medicine"

(12 doctors that are spreading lies and causing deaths by increasing vaccine hesitancy.) is exactly what Satan would say to shift blame, but that won't change facts real facts!

The, nothing new under the sun, life story of Dr. Ignaz Semmelweis, best explains " doctors spreading stupid lies and causing deaths ! Check that out! How else could fraudulent "medicine" kill 700 to 2000 a day and get away with it?

Dr. Paul Offit dug his professional vaccinologist grave many, many years ago. The only reason he still is in the field is the propaganda and MSM support. The inconsistencies associated with the expected immune response and the waning of immunity are overlooked or waved away in order to support an industry, not health.

You promised us excellent articles from Popular Rationalism in the near future--and you have delivered! I forwarded the article to three friends who are religious followers of the church of perpetual boosters. One is a medical doctor who recently moved from the U.S. to Australia because his medical university was trying to force him to practice medicine against his better judgment. He does call anti-vaxxers who oppose measles idiots who are endangering the lives of innocent children. It's odd that professional people--especially doctors--seem to be the ones most religiously accepting of the necessity of vaccines.

It is evident that the WHO stepped up a gear at the beginning of Jan 2019 identifying the Vaccine Hesitant as a “threat to world health” and they plugged away at measles for all they were worth.

So often the data was nonsense. In 2017 Brazil recorded no cases of measles so under pressure from the WHO in 2018 they started counting red rashes as measles and topped 10,000. 2019 the WHO became exercised over 70 alleged deaths in the Philippines which was odd because they generally projected 35,000 deaths a year for the region. In 2015 Beatrice Lorenzin, the Italian health minister and Obama’s appointee as leader of the Global Health Security Agenda offered that there had recently been 270 child deaths from measles in London (there were never any) while lamenting vaccine misinformation on social media. I also calculated that in 2018 the risk of death from measles in Europe according to official data was 1 in 10m.

nformation and Misinformation: the Global Health Security Agenda

https://www.bmj.com/content/364/bmj.l981/rr

These trends in global politics [1] (and most particularly Italy) simply cannot be talked about without reference to the Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA) which never gets to be mentioned in the mainstream news media. It is hopeless to lament the election of a right wing government in Italy divorcing it from the appointment of Italy and its erstwhile centre-left government to head the GHSA in 2014 [2], leading it to push vaccine compulsion. This, as a matter of record: it began in the White House [3] and was enshrined in Barack Obama's executive order of 4 November 2016 [4].

It is conceivable that the public would be less resistant to concern about measles if the quid pro quo was not in effect surrendering the right to refuse whatever vaccine products a government bureaucracy might choose to nominate, now or in the future.

Nor is it helpful to cite random "facts" about measles [1]. For instance, in Brazil, how many of the 10,262 cases for 2018 were confirmed? Is it really possible to believe there were no cases in 2017? How far is any of this real, and how much an artefact of simply looking? Brazil is a country of approximately 210m, so how many "red rashes" which might have been measles [5] did not get reported in 2017?

It is not good enough to leave it to national or global bureaucracies to decide what truth is: not in the past, not now. There is no global emergency requiring this departure.

https://www.bmj.com/content/365/bmj.l1810/rr

Perhaps the WHO know how difficult it is to come up with meaningful data in regard to measles outbreaks [1]. Some of the pitfalls were memorably described in a letter to the columns by Hilary Butler years ago [2]. How many reported? How many confirmed? How many sub-clinical? How much is simply an artefact of looking for cases? How many merely projected by the WHO? For instance, in a publication last November the WHO had only 28,474 reports of measles cases for 2017 in SE Asia (but how many of those were real cases?), while they projected 35,925 measles deaths for the region [3]. But if there was any reality to that mortality figure would 70 deaths in the Philippines earlier this year be especially worth remarking upon?

Similarly, I commented in relation to an earlier report this year [4,5]:

"Nor is it helpful to cite random "facts" about measles.. .For instance, in Brazil, how many of the 10,262 cases for 2018 were confirmed? Is it really possible to believe there were no cases in 2017? How far is any of this real, and how much an artefact of simply looking? Brazil is a country of approximately 210m, so how many "red rashes" which might have been measles... did not get reported in 2017?"

And if we do not know what was going on in 2017 and 18, how do we know what is going on now? One thing is certain that the WHO, and various other people want us to be extremely worried about measles [5,6], but how much is real, how much smoke and mirrors? It is important that we have real information because increasingly it is not only health but liberty which is a stake [5,6]. How can people make informed decisions with data like this?

Let us get a handle on this. I just looked up the population of Europe for 2018 on Google and discovered a figure of 738 million, so the chances of dying of measles last year in Europe was less than 1 in 10 million. While it seems unlikely that vaccination can ever eliminate measles - notably because the vaccine sheds - could this just possibly be a distortion of policy?

A couple of other observation regarding Jacqui Thornton's article [1]: (a) the number of cases is likely be an artefact of the drive to identify them; (b) 61% hospitalisation does not sound credible.

I also looked a bit further into the "Samoa story"after the MSNBC smear job. I found an article from the Lancet Medical Journal, and this link to a virologist's blog https://virologydownunder.com/measles-in-samoa-a-couple-of-referenced-facts/

Prior to the July 2018 death of two babies due to the vaccine mixing mess up, MCV1 & MCV2 vax rates had already dropped. They peaked in 2013, but that peak was an anomaly. 2013 was the only year that MCV2 exceeded the level to achieve herd immunity (80%). Most years 11 out of 15 for MCV1 from 2004 to 2018 were below this threshold as you'll see in the WHO data table in the link provided above.

So this outbreak had a lot more to do with multiple factors as explained in the linked blog and Lancet Medical Journal article info than just anti-vax rhetoric after the 2 babies died. Why this occurred was much more complex. A large part also had to due with some of the incompetence and mismanagement noted in this 2019 Guardian article, https://www.theguardian.com/world/2019/dec/18/these-babies-should-not-have-died-how-the-measles-outbreak-took-hold-in-samoa As mentioned, many of the babies caught the measles while in the hospital waiting to get vaccinated. The hospitals hadn't taken any precautions to control the spread of this virus.

So the outbreak in Samoa was a lot worse than in other countries with low vax rates that also had measles outbreaks around this time and prior to the Samoan outbreak like in New Zealand for example. It's suspected a traveler from NZ to Samoa brought the measles with him https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019%E2%80%932020_New_Zealand_measles_outbreak Can't find a good clear source w. MVC1/2 vax rates in NZ at that time. Though I did read about some issues w. immigrant & indigenous populations having low vax rates.

Paul Offit defines hubris as well as a conceited, arrogant schmuck. Public Health is meaningless as long as people like Offit get attention. Recently I saw Offit smearing Kennedy on PBS (Pharma Broadcasting System).
