When taking the classes even from my computer (not phone), I have a hard time studying / seeing the slide detail of many, and I’d like to refer to them later.
I can understand not wanting to hand out the slides, but it limits my ability to review and deepen my understanding which is often somewhat superficial from a one hour lesson… Think how one attends a college lecture and then needs to follow up with extra study.
My only solution has been to use a software tool called ‘snag it’ to capture slide images, then go back and paste them into a PowerPoint for review. It’s very time consuming and usually I don’t get around to it…LOL
That said, may I offer up how much I LOVE YOUR LEARNING PLATFORM!!!
I think quizzes would be amazing. I think about it every time I take a class. I know many don't want to share printable lecture slides, but that would also be so helpful as we are paying for the course vs a free lecture. I like to take notes as I listen and it's hard to write down my own notes plus what a slide is saying. For me to do that I'd have to listen to the lecture while taking screen shots then going back with printed slides and watching again. We all learn differently and I know slides along with quizzes would make the information stick better.
I really enjoyed Brad Millers interview and I wanted to take his class but when I checked it out it's too intense and time consuming for me. It's very worthwhile and impressive he has put a lot of thought into his class and reinspired me to read the books he mentioned.
