China to Stop Using Tracking App. But Has New York?

The protestors have had their say - or so the CCP wants us to believe. But NYS's ENX Program may be alive and well.

We are one step farther away from a global police state - or are we?

According the CNN, China is backing away from its zero COVID policy and will “inactivate” its “mobile itinerary card” that tracks cell phone data to monitor their travel history over a 14 days period to identify people those who have been in or near a city with zones designated “high-risk” by authorities.

The tracking, CNN reported, “had been a point of contention for many Chinese people, including due to concerns around data collection and its use by local governments to ban entry to those who have visited a city with a ‘high-risk zone,’ even if they did not go to those areas within that city.”

Well, this all sounds promising, right?

Some people in the US will recall that travelers from out-of-state who crossed the border into New York State received an unsolicited creepy message telling them that they had been in close proximity with someone who had been diagnosed with COVID-19, and that they were to quarantine themselves for 10-days.

The program, now called COVID-19 ENX, is now listed as voluntary.

But many people reported receiving messages ordering them to travel directly to their place of quarantine without leaving their vehicle - without signing up for the ENX “service”.

By now, you’re realizing that the CCP does not have to have a “mobile itinerary card” to track its citizens.

So, I suspect CCP is using this tactic to try to souse out protestors who will claim credit, and thereby confess to their dissidence.

I could be wrong, of course.
