No doubt linked to poor diet. It is sometimes very difficult to follow a good diet for typical kids let alone for a child with autism who very likely has challenging behavioral issues. Parents need to be hyper involved and vigilant. Sadly many can’t stay that engaged due to all the other issues that they must deal with. Fix the diet and you avoid those adverse health problems!

That’s what I came to the comments to say! Also Type 1 can be vaccine-derived and since autism can be, too, that’s a no-brained. If anyone has a new T1 diagnosis, immediately following the https://www.paleomedicina.com/en protocol has actually reversed/cured T1 in a few newly-diagnosed kids.

The big problem is seed oils. Seed oils are the root of T2 and metabolic dysfunction. How many interviews have I heard of parents of kids with ASD that their kids won’t eat anything but fried chicken tenders? Schizophrenics experience the same thing. See Dr Christopher Palmer and his work with medically-prescribed ketogenic duets to reverse mental health disorders (not your neighbor’s keto). Oh, and motility issues in ASD -- oils and vaccines ruin the gut.

Autism was rare before the sun ( and its vitamin D) were villified in the 1970s. Chronic vitD deficiency/starvation in the mother and then the child causes gestational and then post-natal developmental defects. The specific region of the brain affected is the midline cerebellar vermis, which develops postnatally and is involved in learning/memory and higher order behaviors. Interestingly, there is a north-south gradient with respect to autism prevalence, vitD related. Somalians relocated to Minneapolis develop autism, a condition so foreign that Somalis have no word for it in their language. Furthermore, a condition called Williams Syndrome involves hypertrophy and malformations in the vermis that result in hypersociability...almost the behaviorally opposite condition to autism. The vitD-autism-cerebellar link is a Nobel Prize worthy line of research for a young aggressive neuroscientist.

Autistics that relocate from north to south can experience spontaneous remission.

And how many childhood vaccines do Somalis receive?

A lot of interesting theories. The Autism link to the triad of diabetes, dyslipidemia and heart disease looks a lot like ALS. Has anyone looked into a hypothalamic or HPA dysfunction link to Autism?

Is it autism that raises these risks? Or is it that autism and these conditions are linked to the MTHFR genetic mutation?

I remember Autism was diagnosed early on right after birth the second class of autism is the onset of autism due to environmental factors after birth ,diet toxicity environment heavy metals water food and of course vaccines in my humble opinion a difference from being born autistic you can easily follow the increased of the second class by the vaccine schedule increase to the increase in autism since the 70s

Is this corrected for exposure to antipsychotics such as olanzapine (Zyprexa), risperidone (Risperdal), and paliperidone (Invega)? I'm glad Skier, Rebecca Lee, and Eric Turrell already asked about vaccines.
