“RT-PCR is flawed”

Yes, But. I have provided all of the evidence necessary to know that RT-PCR can lead to false positives. But that doesn’t mean it does not work when used appropriately.

“Show me a virus capable of self-replication with a host.”

Irrelevant. That’s like saying “Show me an obligate intestinal parasite that cannot replicate without a host". Do obligate intestinal parasites also not exist?

The virus denialist crowd simply cannot accept the existence of viruses, regardless of the evidence presented.

This particular fact, however, is impossible to ignore or hand-wave away.

Mass-spectrometry is a technique that is used on protein samples. The samples are hit w/a laser; peptides fly across a charged field and hit a sensor. The time of flight and other characteristics tell us all of the peptide subsequences that were likely present.

When you match the peptides to the protein sequences predicted from the coding sequences derived either from or from Next Gen Sequencing and Sanger Sequencing (Dr. Lee)….

THEY MATCH.

This is not stunning news. It’s just mundane facts. The tongue-in-check headline was for the virus denialists, who must now explain WHY they match. I’ve pasted a video of what mass-spec proteomics is for their benefit.
