Emily Hanford won’t go there, but just like common core has destroyed a generation’s ability to do math, and environmental toxins have reduced their IQs, Whole Language approach to teaching reading has killed many young readers’ abilities to easily learn to decode new words. Unlike Chinese, English is a phonetic language, and to learn to think independently and creatively, one must have an unencumbered approach to decode new words.

I hate the way some people think the act of learning can be reversed engineered, especially when they get it so wrong like Marie Clay did. They are doing the same thing in math, with disastrous results.
