AP News: “Scientists mystified” reads the headline. (Source: AP News)
“Fewer than 6% of people in Africa are vaccinated. For months, the WHO has described Africa as ‘one of the least affected regions in the world’ in its weekly pandemic reports.”
Meanwhile, Gibraltar, the most vaccinated region, at 140%, is canceling Christmas.
This is no surprise nor a mystery to scientists who have been paying attention.
In April, 2020, I reported that immune deficiency due to autoimmunity against immune proteins was likely due to #PathogenicPriming from similarity between SARS-CoV-2 viral proteins and human immune proteins.
I hate that I was right.

Lyons-Weiler J. Pathogenic priming likely contributes to serious and critical illness and mortality in COVID-19 via autoimmunity. J Transl Autoimmun. 2020 Apr 9;3:100051. doi: 10.1016/j.jtauto.2020.100051. PMID: 32292901; PMCID: PMC7142689.
According to Germany's DW, Africa is doing pretty well. Even though only 7% of its 1.3 billion people are vaccinated, there are far fewer COVID-19 cases in Africa than in Europe and the case number is trending downward. What's the conclusion they draw from that? You probably guessed it: "the tide could turn if inoculation programs are not sped up."
