Fauci Slips it in Again, Nudges Omicron as "Serious"
The tactic of subtle programming is right there for all to see.
The available evidence is that Omicron is mild.
MILD, MILD, MILD.
Someone also reported that it looks like it can re-infect.
Like every other variant.
The gaslighting continues as Fauci nudged with clear programming language - language that links descriptors designed to instill fear in the public - without actually semantically stating the link.
WARNING: THIS IS A “RED PILL ARTICLE”. IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE THE WAY YOU READ THE NEWS FOREVER, CONTINUE. IF YOU WANT TO GO BACK TO THE MATRIX, CLOSE THIS WINDOW NOW.
Here’s the nudging article covering Fauci’s gaslighting from CNBC:
Nudge 1: Headline retraction. The headline reads: “Fauci says booster shots likely give cross protection against ‘wide range’ of Covid variants”
Ooh, scary, for the millions who only read headlines. The article then reads:
White House chief medical advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci said studies strongly suggest that booster shots will give you cross protection against a “wide range” of Covid-19 variants, but noted it has not been proven yet.
Nudge 2: Linking unrelated words. “Severe disease, Omicron variant”
“There’s every reason to believe that if you get vaccinated and boosted that you would have at least some degree of cross protection,” Fauci said. “Very likely against severe disease, even against the omicron variant.”
The last part of the sentence is not even grammatically correct. I have people from all over the world who write to me, sending me corrections for typos (thank you!) and sometimes reminding me that my “credibility” is on the line if I make errors in language.
Also, there is no evidence that suggests that Omicron is more virulent. Fauci’s “even against the omicron variant” invokes a tacit premise that omicron can lead to severe COVID-19, because, per Fauci’s message, the booster is so powerful that it will very likely receive cross-protection, EVEN against the omicron variant”.
Read Fauci’s statement again:
“There’s every reason to believe that if you get vaccinated and boosted that you would have at least some degree of cross protection,” Fauci said. “Very likely against severe disease, even against the omicron variant.”
“Every reason to believe” cf. “it has not been proven yet”. Which is it?
“at least some” cf. “even against”.
Head spinning? That’s intentional.
Contradictory statements stated with authority are classical gaslighting tools: they prevent the victim from being able to think logically, and keep them thinking “well, I’m supposed to be able to make sense of this, clearly, and I cannot, so it must be me”. The brain can shut down and demand an answer from authority (“I can’t make any sense out of it all, just tell me what to do”).
