Aging Well: A Systems Biology Approach to Wellness for Older Children
Advanced learning on the functions and dysfunctions of aging from a systems biology approach! Course starts January 2024, Thursdays at 12PM
If you’d had courses with me, you know how deep into the details of each topic we go. I want to share with you and learn with you all we can about what’s known about the systems biology of aging and age-related conditions. Let’s do this! {Starts in January}.
Instructor: James Lyons-Weiler, PhD and Guest Lecturers
Thursdays at 12PM ET, video available following the live!
Course Description:
This course aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the biology of aging, focusing on a systems biology approach. It covers a wide range of topics, from evolutionary aspects of aging across species to the cellular mechanisms involved, and delves into the psychological, social, and environmental aspects of aging. The course also includes a series of lectures on the organ systems, examining their healthy functioning, age-related changes, common diseases, and the role of diet and nutrition. This course is designed for advanced learners who are interested in the complexities of aging and wellness.
