A Letter to Neocommunists from an American Popular Rationalist

You're wasting your time here.

If I spend my time working, and I am paid, my net income (after taxes*) is mine.

I will choose when and to whom I redistribute my income - and how much - if any.

That’s called charity. By working and honestly earning my income, I’ve also earned the right - and the power - to be charitable in the manner in which I choose. That’s a form of speech.

If you steal my money and redistribute it, you steal my power and deny me the freedom of speech.

Thus, the redistribution of my income is illegal.

I will choose when and to whom I redistribute my income - and how much - if any.

If I wanted to use my income to purchase arms to defend myself, my family, or my property, and you have stolen my money and redistributed it among others, you have denied me the right to bear arms.

If you steal my money and redistribute it, you steal my power and deny me the ability to own a home. I have the right to life, liberty & the pursuit of happiness, and I am happy to enjoy the safety and warmth of my own home - a home I cannot be forced to share with any military personnel or forced to give up under any conditions if I own my home.

I will choose who I care to share my home with - if anyone.

If you steal my money and redistribute it, you must violate my right to freedom from search or seizure of wealth and things I purchase with my money on my person, in my house. My papers and effects are my own to keep private and confidential.

Thus, the redistribution of my income is illegal.

I will choose whom I care to share my things - or knowledge of my things - with.

If you take my money or wealth, or property I bought with money I earned at the point of a gun with the threat of incarceration if I do not surrender my income, and you then redistribute it to those you believe should have as much wealth as I have, you have made a slave out of me.

I am forced to work for no pay in proportion to the percentage of my wealth you have stolen.

If I work five days a week, and you take 20%, I am a slave 1 day out of each week. If you take 40% of my income, I am slave 2 days out of each week, and so on.

Slavery was abolished in the US.

Thus, the redistribution of my income is illegal.

I will choose how to use my income - all of it.

You can choose to work and earn your own income - and then you can also choose how to spend your income.

I will not steal from you and deny you your rights preserved and protected by the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th and 13th Amendments.

And you will never succeed in denying me mine.

*Some see taxes as theft.
