Days following revelation of no evidence of health, and evidence of harm - and a $2M lawsuit - US organizations are retreating from indefensible position on "medical transitioning" of minors.
Thanks, James! I feel vindicated. I have fought this battle here in Vermont for years, and warned that doctors would one day be sued. When I ran for Governor in 2020, I was excoriated by the Left for my 2019 commentary "Transgender Surgery is the Lobotomy of the Twenty-First Century."
People who believe anyone can transition to the other sex deny reality. The science isn't there and will never be until all the organs and DNA can be changed so the body actually produces the hormones and other substances of the other sex. Transitioned people are merely chemically, surgically, and cosmetically altered humans. And if they stopped taking the drugs, their bodies will try to go back to before the assault on it.
I worked with a man who transitioned to woman. He was incredibly self-absorbed and rather destructive. He had been married and fathered children. As he was still going through the process, his daughter begged him not to come to her graduation ceremony dressed as a woman, but he refused making her graduation all about himself. He went up to a friend of mine at work and full-on hugged him. My friend was so distressed and complained to me. I told him he had been sexually assaulted, just like some women are, and should file a complaint, but he was too mortified and ashamed.
However, I do have some sympathy for those so uncomfortable in their own skin they go through this awful procedure. But they don't get to bully the world in the process or get the full legal benefit of the sex they claim to be. I think, legally, some sort of third category is necessary, where they get some, not all, of the rights and responsibilities of each sex if fully or nearly fully transitioned, but not for cosplaying. Interestingly, work informed that people who transition tend to keep their original sex partner interest and many never go through the final surgery.
Jeff Younger has, last I heard, lost custody of his son at the hands of insane judges who permitted the child to be chemically castrated, as if a three year old had any real idea of "gender" when he was first diagnosed as gender dysphoric. His ex wife, who California accredits her pose as a pediatrician, is IMO insane right along with the Ca legislature. I suspect she filled the child with this malarky because she wanted a girl. I believe, one day when the child is an adult, he will realize what this woman did to him and end her life. If I am ever on the jury, I will vote to acquit.
Please excuse my rant, but I have seen far too much of this madness. While the changes in position are good news, this and other go-along-to-get-a-long attitudes of the medical profession are why few trust them anymore. One has to wonder if, with the next left winger in charge, they won't change back again to be in good graces.
As far as surgery, I've met several hundred trans individuals, and _not one_ of them has advocated for “gender-affirming surgery” for minors. It's astonishing that this industry has exploited the call for sensitive and respectful care.
Hopefully Senator Cassidy will finally wake up and support HHS's efforts to challenge other beliefs about captured medical practices - again due to insufficient scientific data - such as VACCINES and lack of true placebo controlled trials, harms from EMFs etc. etc. etc.
As Attorney Jeff Childers, of "Coffee and Covid" substack says: "It is so amazing how quickly the “settled science” gets unsettled when the lawsuits start rolling in." May the vaccine industry meet the same fate as soon as possible.
