.....one OTHER realization I've had within the past decade, Jamie - there is something of a societal PREDISPOSITION to misperceive effects from PTSD as simply, 'spectrum behaviors' (though NO question they CAN occur at once; my own lifepath out of a BADLY-broken home, has been instructive with recognizing that, FREQUENTLY absent of physical injury an expectation for DESIRED response on EITHER side of a verbal transaction produces EXTREME stress, debilitation in younger individuals when it's NOT been CONSISTENTLY communicated by EVERY aspect, if an adult or peers' body language CONTRADICTS what they're voicing - REGARDLESS clinically-diagnosed functional compromise and, not NECESSARILY due to any failures on their parents' or guardians' part.....a Linguistics graduate student at UMass, felt compelled to AFFIRM the validity of what I've recognized after sharing it with her, too).
