"present risks in ways that are visually or audibly subordinate to benefits." Oh Pharma is pretty good at this. And it the medical community is affected as well.
"Ghostwriting, performance-based ad agencies, and disease awareness front groups muddy the attribution chain." THIS. Disease awareness groups can act as drug company promoters and sometimes (though not always) not realize it. This is why I do not give money to many disease advocacy groups anymore.
A good start. As we all know, much, much more is needed. How about the NIH and FDA testing for and approving alternative / complementary, evidence based technologies and then promoting them thru their channels, always collecting and analyzing data. Payments possible thru a government issued "Flex Plan" which has a built in data feedback loop.
Would love to hear your perspective on the Florida lawsuit that hinges on vaccine advertising to get around the 1986 legal immunity for Pharma. I rarely see advertising for vaccines on TV, so ho will this law help? Are vax ads rare because the manufacturers are afraid to list the side effects the way they do with drugs? (They want us to think there are NO serious side effects.) Is there some kind of trap they are trying to avoid? Sure, we saw tons of PSAs and vax promotions by government and celebrities during covid. But there is nothing for vaccines comparable to the barrage of drug ads on TV.
Incredible breakdown of the enforcement surge. The 'net impression' standard is actualy more critical than people realize, because sponsors have gamed formal disclosure requirements for years while making the real message totally misleading. I remeber watching a cancer drug ad where the side effects scrolled faster than humanly readable. The AI-generated content angle is gonna be the next frontier for regulatory whack-a-mole tbh.
Screenshotted bar graph and shared with the public. Thanks for the info graphic : )

We need to go back to the days when pharmaceutical ads were banned!
Alongside New Zealand, we are the tiny minority of countries that allow it. Just the 2 of us!

Perhaps it is that the 'vaccines ' are mandated and so 'sell themselves' with government assistance... ? 🤔🇨🇦
